It's Not Classy

to make fun of fat people. It doesn't matter if the person in question is present or not. People with class do not mock people with weight problems. Nor do they turn their nose up in a holier-than-thou manner, sneering and making derisive comments about the person's diet. Most importantly, they do NOT compare their object of derision to any of the bovine family. It's just Not Cool.

The disgust that some people have towards overweight individuals is matched only by my disgust at those people who are so shallow that they can only see the body, and not the person inside of it.

The really sad thing is that I felt the need to post this. I thought that people were supposed to be, you know, accepting. and stuff. I mean, didn't we have something called the civil rights movement awhile back? Where people fought and died so that others could live in a world where they weren't judged and mistreated on the basis of their appearance? Sigh.

well, often its not so much a judgement of appearence, as a curiosity of the persons ability to keep healthy.

weight is not the same thing as health. it is obvious when a "fat" person is in actuality, a person uninterested in maintaining their body properly. eh? tahts like mocking an unbathed person. "you dont care enough about yourself to perform basic maintenance activities! hahaha"
