so mom got this Harry Belafonte cd the other day, and now i have these evil addictive songs stuck in my head. fun fun. ooh! ooh! today i start working days from 10-6! i haven't worked a daytime since, like, ... summer. and i'm sad that maria is gone. they're seriously firing all the people i like to be around. :( no more mishka, no more maria, and it looks like john might not be too far behind. i sure hope i get this summer job with the university so i can quit taco bell. cause much as i love slinging tacos, it's no longer the exciting, fun bunch of people that i am comfortable with. well, maybe i'll like being around the daytime people. probably not, though- i looked at the schedule for today, and a bunch of the people i know just well enough to know that i don't really enjoy their company. well. maybe it'll be fun to work a day shift. at least i won't have to close!!!!!!!!!! that will be so cool! just leave when it gets to be six... ah. just like the old days when i was a newbie and didn't know how to close, and left at ten no matter what. abbie, do you want to finish up the dishes real quick? nope, sorry i'm off right now :). haha i'm going HOME, SUCKERS! sorry. just got a little carried away by the happiness of not having to make the store spotless before being able to leave at some ungodly hour. of course, it's not all good, cause i still have to close on wednesdays. but at least wednesdays are not fridays, which are much busier and don't end till 3 or 4am, depending on how trashed the store is. or those certain days where even though you close early at like midnight, and you still don't get out till way too late. i remember once i didn't leave till 6am. the sun came up on my way home, and there was traffic. that's how you know how late it is- is there no traffic? it's between 2 and 4am. is there a bunch of traffic going the other way into the city? it's between 4:30 and sunrise. ooh. it's quarter to nine right now- i'd better get in the shower so's i'm not late to work :). i wonder if anyone even reads this...
